Mesotherapy is a non-surgical, cosmetic treatment developed in France in 1958. It involves multiple injections of pharmaceutical and homeopathic medications, plant extracts, vitamins, and other ingredients into subcutaneous fat. It promises to stimulate the breakdown of fat cells. Injections are the traditional method of delivery of the various chemicals, herbs and homeopathic solutions. An alternative method of delivery is through a facial steamer.
