Fraxel Laser treatment is a technology used in photo rejuvenation. It uses a particular CO2-based laser that is both targeted and precise. It works by the laser stimulating collagen growth beneath the skin.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A Fraxel treatment lasts between 15 and 45 minutes depending on the area being covered. It usually takes between 1 to 3 weeks to take effect. 5 sessions in total are recommended.
It promises to reduce wrinkles, and to clear sun-related ageing signs such as discolouration, and melasma. It also benefits the presentation of acne. It is minimally invasive. Fraxel lasers are different from other lasers in that they are more targeted and therefore leave less damage on surrounding tissues.
It may produce a sunburn type glow and it is expensive, requiring 5 sessions.
