Eye bags are dark circular pouches of fat that hang around the lower eye socket. Although often treated by fillers lower eyelids can be altered to remove the presence of “eye bags”.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Lower eye lid surgery inevitably needs a general anaesthetic due to the delicate nature of the area. The surgeon will make an incision along the lower lash line and remove the excess fat in the eye bags. The skin will be stretched to prevent any wrinkling. The process can take up to 2 hours to perform.
A permanent solution to the presence of eye bags. Fillers need to be topped up every 3-6 months. Eye lid surgery takes away a tired look from around the eyes and has a naturally rejuvenating effect. Make up goes on more fluidly as there are less creases and crannies for it to catch in.
It is major surgery and requires a downtime of about 2 weeks. You will want to wear sunglasses and sleep with your head elevated for a couple of weeks.
