OVERVIEW Anger management is a form of counselling to help you cope with out-of-control feelings of anger that may be affecting your health, work, personal relationships and could potentially be causing you to behave inappropriately and unreasonably, irrationally or even violently, in social situations.
When anger gets out of control and turns destructive, it can seriously impair your quality of your life and that of your loved ones. You may feel at the mercy of a hugely powerful and unpredictable emotion.
What to Expect
Anger Management counselling involves talking with someone who can help you explore the causes of your anger so that you can understand and work through them, gaining a greater understanding of your feelings and actions. It is usually provided over several weeks or months.
Anger management counselling may equip you with behavioral tools to help you react appropriately when you experience anger, and thus to regain control over your emotions and enjoy a better quality of life overall.
