Bikram Yoga is a demanding series of 26 postures (asana) and two breathing exercises (pranayamas) completed in an order specifically designed to provide optimal health and longevity. It is suitable for all ages and levels of ability. Bikram scientifically designed this 90 minute programme to deliver total health through the balancing and strengthening of every system in the human body to prevent illness and infirm, promote weight loss and limit the effects of ageing. In addition, the series of postures combine skills of concentration, patience, determination and self control that increase mental clarity and reduce stress.
