Did you miss our mummy makeover week last week? Well never fear we have an article all about it right here for you!

Although it’s a beautiful, life-changing experience, the process of becoming a mother can take a significant toll on a woman’s body. A mummy makeover refers to any combination of procedures that helps a woman look and feel more like she did prior to pregnancies and childbirth. Here are some of the different surgeries that can help you feel sexy and savvy again!

Breast surgery

Breast Surgery is the most common treatment women receive as part of their mummy makeover. Pregnancy and breast-feeding can greatly alter a woman’s body. The breasts can become much smaller and sag, or conversely they may become large, stretched, and uncomfortable. These treatments include breast lifts, reductions, or enhancements.

Weak Bladder Surgery

The ladies will know this, after having a natural birth things don't work the same way down there. Yup, we're talking about a weak bladder. Urinary incontinence and stress incontinence occur when the pelvic floor or cervix collapses. Stress incontinence causes small amounts of urine to leak when the pelvic floor is put under stress - like when sneezing, coughing or laughing. Surgery is often a necessary step if pelvic floor muscles do not strengthen through specialised exercise regimes. Find out more at!

Genital reconstruction

Another thing we have to talk about is we're chatting about mummy makeovers is genital reconstruction. Vaginaoplasty may be carried out as a reconstruction after a medical trauma such as the removal of an abscess or tumour. It can also be used to correct uterine and vaginal prolapse; or a tear after natural child-birth. The subject of elective Vaginoplasty surgery is a controversial matter, as it has been condemned by the World Health Organisation as a form of genital mutilation. Those opposed to the treatment view it as demeaning to women, and a sign of pressure on women resulting from unrealistic images in pornographic movies. However for many women the procedure is transformational.

Tummy Tuck

After pregnancy some things unfortunately don't look the same as they did before. The skin on our tummies is stretched and sags, which can take a long time and a lot of hard work to get rid of. Why not consider a tummy tuck? A tummy tuck or an abdominoplasty is a procedure that seeks to combat not just the fat of the abdomen but the remaining skin when the fat has been removed. The fat may have been lost naturally, through liposuction or post-partum, but the same fold or “apron” of skin remains around the abdomen. As the skin is not attached to muscle it is very difficult to tone through exercise. A full tummy tuck is above and below the navel with the navel repositioned during surgery.

Belly Button Surgery

Perhaps a full on tummy tuck is too daunting, but you still do want to make a minor change. Have you ever thought about belly button surgery? Belly button or navel surgery (umbilicoplasty) is a procedure to change the appearance or size of the belly button to make it more aesthetically pleasing and should be carried out by a fully trained and qualified cosmetic surgeon. It can be carried out on its own or as part of another procedure like a tummy tuck or body lift. Find out more at
